Following my years of concert photography, I gravitated towards sports photography and shooting, primarily, women’s sports. As a female athlete, I remember how rare it was to have a photographer or reporter at our games. We worked hard to gain media attention, yet we never received “the spotlight”, like our male counterparts. Today, I strive to “give back” to all those female athletes that put their hearts and soles on the line every day of practice and of competition. As a former Division l athlete, I know what it takes to vie for a national championship, as well as the agony of falling short; I know the feeling of playing your final collegiate game, knowing there are no professional opportunities to pursue. And I know the beauty of achieving success through hard work and finesse versus sheer physical power.  As a photographer, I work hard to capture these moments and the emotions behind them. My aim has and continues to be a true portrayal of sports, both male and female, and to promote a better understanding of all that goes into competition and the athlete achieving their goals and dreams.

 

Based in the greater Philadelphia area, I specialize in sports photography, covering competitions from grassroots right up to the top level. I am driven by the philosophy that the most powerful and compelling images are driven not by just capturing raw strength and power, but also by documenting skill, finesse, and emotional drive. I pride myself on producing top quality, striking images that not only capture the action, but also convey the sense of emotion, atmosphere, and tension of the sport.
